Ethics Statement on AI
Before we get carried away...
Technology should not exist solely to create efficiency.
For decades, software has optimized workflows, reduced friction, and accelerated productivity. While these advances have transformed industries, they have also introduced a new challenge: we are increasingly spending more time learning systems than we are in understanding one another.
At Medfair, we believe the next generation of technology must do more than automate work. It must facilitate humanity.
Artificial intelligence presents extraordinary opportunities, but it also poses profound risks to work, purpose, identity, and human connection. We do not believe AI should replace the human being. We believe it should reduce the technical barriers that separate people from meaningful work and meaningful relationships.
Healthcare is fundamentally human. Yet clinicians and staff are often forced to divide their attention between caring for people and managing increasingly complex systems. We are building AI tools to remove that tradeoff.
“People increasingly spend more time learning systems than understanding one another…We are building AI tools to remove that tradeoff.”
Our goal is not to eliminate the human role in healthcare, but to elevate it. At Medfair, we want to enable people to spend less time navigating software and more time listening, caring, and connecting.
We choose people over complexity. We choose understanding over interfaces. We choose humanity over optimization alone.
That is the future we are building toward.
